The feature that me and my partner design is official site of TV episode. We think that by creating this official site, users will find whatever episodes they want to watch through this official site. Mental Models means a model that based on our experiences, and how we assimilate new things into our existing knowledge. So, when we are doing usability test, we found out people thinks that TV clips will always with episodes in this official site. So they find clips from this official site, but actually we forgot to put clips in that official site. So that with respect to user mental models we added clips site and made adjustment to our new feature.
For programmers, implementation model is to reflect the underlying details of a system, so is a compliment for mental model.
