2- Kaelyn Toth

The first chapter of the text for this class describes exactly what one would think: what obvious design is.  It encourages user-friendliness to ensure the success of a website.  The author also discusses how a user should not have to be concerned with figuring out how certain aspects of a website work or how to find certain spots on a website.  Amazon is a good example of a website being user-friendly.  The search bar is what the user's eye is immediately drawn to.  It is also easy to navigate through different departments of the website as well as the user's own account information.  Popular deals are very visibly displayed and the search bar autocompletes the user's input to make finding a certain product that much more simple.
