This contrasts with the implementation model because there aren't any underlying problems or issues that the user might have to think about, the user is already aware of what the videos represent. Many users likely do not have any programming knowledge so they wouldn't be able to implement any design on their own.

6 - Kaelyn Toth
A user's mental model with respect to the feature that my partner and I redesigned (the recommended videos that pop up after you finish watching your initial video) could go a few different ways. The user could just click on the first one that pops up because it's easier. Another option is hovering over all of the recommended videos that pop up on the screen to see the titles of them so that they can determine if it is something that they would be interested in watching. They might consider looking over to the right of the screen to check out more of the recommended videos, but the more likely choice of action would be the ones that come up in the box that the previous video was playing in. We redid this to have only one recommendation come up with a countdown screen, similar to the one that Netflix has.
This contrasts with the implementation model because there aren't any underlying problems or issues that the user might have to think about, the user is already aware of what the videos represent. Many users likely do not have any programming knowledge so they wouldn't be able to implement any design on their own.
