In this weeks chapters the discussion was cutting out unnecessary features. One aspect that I was most draw too was aiming low, which pretty much means that you need to focus your design on the features that are key. An example would be like the search bar in Youtube, think about how someone's experience on Youtube would be if you could never search. It would be an obvious flaw and probably fixed immediately. Most features on any application are "filler" which does not mean they are useless but that they are not the main elements.
In our project three design we dropped a couple features when it came to commenting and sharing videos. There were two spots on one page in which it would ask you to post to Google+, this is obviously redundant. We thought that being able to share videos is very important but the application should not hound you with requests or even icons to do so. Key features should be the main focus and they should be functional and intuitive for the user.
