The feature in project 3 that I redesigned was the launch screen of YouTube's Android application.  The user's mental model of this includes touching the video they want to play with their finger.  There are search, setting, and menu areas that can also be tapped for additional options.  The user can also scroll down for more videos.  Most users only care about finding and watching videos they want to watch by tapping, scrolling, and searching.

The programmer's implementation model is much different for these activities.  When the video is selected, code is used to retrieve the video from the server and display it for the user.  Related videos are included using some sort of algorithm which predicts what the user will want to watch next.  Among many other operations, data is also saved about the user's views for future recommendations and video view statistics.    The code and storage of the video are hidden from the user.
