4- Alyssa Gosztola

Overall the user is not always correct. The user doesn't understand the ideas and process to which why the designer made those decisions. The designer creates something with the user in mind not just themselves. A designer for a project isn't just going to create something without thinking of who will be using their product; if they did this their product/design would fail. Obviously though with many things in life as well as design, you can't please everybody. Creating different personas of individuals can help make the design of something successful. As designers go more in depth of designing something with these personas in mind, they can find common traits that can help them make a certain feature even better because more people have something in common. As a product is being used in real life situations, there is going to always be some sort of function that not every user is going to like. I feel if there are more and more users who feel something needs to be changed, then the designer should reevaluate their design and please the user, but if it's not a number of people who are dissatisfied, then the designer should not feel obligated to make those changes to please a small number of people. For project two, I may have wanted to shadow more people while they were using machines. We did talk to a few people, but it was difficult to talk to them because all they wanted to do was work out. Although things went smoothly, they would've felt more smoother if we kept things casual and light and asked quick simple questions for the project.
