In my second blog post, I described the main page of a search engine DuckDuckGo (https://duckduckgo.com). The primary quality of DuckDuckGo is that this search engine does not collect its users' search record, whereas its competitors collect those data to provide personalized search results, or the "filter bubble." The creators of DuckDuckGo probably intended to create an application that values its users' privacy. DuckDuckGo's main page features what seems to be its slogan, "Search anonymously. Find instantly." These two phrases emphasize that DuckDuckGo really cares about the privacy of those who use it, before saying that it is also easy way to search the Web. That cause might have affected its appearance as well as its quality. As a result, DuckDuckGo successfully attracted the customers who care about their own private lives and differentiated itself from other search engines with similar looks.
