This week we discussed obvious design. obvious design should make things clear. The products should be simple to understand, easy to learn, well organized. Users know how to use it once they saw it, they wouldn't spend one seconds to think about how the software works. I think oncourse log in page is the perfect example to explain what an obvious design is. The page's interface is very simple,there just two text boxes and two buttons. After users enter their username and passwords then click "login" this button, it can automatically jump to oncourse homepage.If uses have trouble to sign in , click "we can help" button, this will bring you to "CAS Troubleshooting page". This page is very simple and clear, there is only two buttons, so once you know your username and password, it will bring you to oncourse home page, but even you don't know, you could also find way to help you.
