Page 9 of Designing the Obvious states a few things that web applications should have including, "It has a clear purpose, a compelling benefit, straightforward usage, and a cohesive design that reflects the focus, passion, and purpose of the team that developed it." The webpage I believe has all of those elements espn.com, the homepage of ESPN. The entire website is dedicated to only sports related information so the front page of it should have the newest and most relevant news feed. ESPN.com uses a slideshow box format that clearly shows the biggest events that have recently happened. The intuitive boxes not only give a headline and image of topics but they also double as videos that play simple clips of the event in an easy fashion.  This straightforward design allows us to watch multiple news videos in the slideshow instead of reading numerous long articles about them. This design is a fast way to relay loads of information to the user in no time with a simple and appealing look behind it.
